After an outage of about five minutes, we have restored the MySQL service on WWW-28.
The MySQL service failed became unresponsive after high server load caused by two conflicting backup processes (we are currently fine-tuning this to avoid load spikes). We have restarted the service and are currently running checks and (where necessary) automatic repairs on all tables.
