Name server connectivity – 20 September

The New Jersey data centre that hosts one of our domain name servers is experiencing connectivity problems.

Connectivity to our NS2 name server is currently intermittent. The network problem is receiving attention. In the meantime, name servers NS1 and NS3 are healthy and responding to queries. Access to client website are unaffected by the problem.

Update 08:22 GMT:
Vultr data centre has confirmed a large-scale outage in the Northeastern United States due to a DDOS attack. Their engineers are working on restoring service.

Update 08:30 GMT:
Service has be restored for NS2. Given the nature of the problem, more interruptions may follow in the coming hours. This will not affect access to client websites.

Update 16:00 GMT:
Connectivity has been normal for the past couple of hours.
