Installing and Updating Applications through the Application Installer
The Application Installer in cPanel uses the Installatron service for installing popular web applications such as Joomla and WordPress.
Installing an Application
- Navigate to the Application Installer in your cPanel.
- Click on Applications Browser tab.
- Select the application you want to install.
- Information about the Application will appear along with two options. Select Install this Application.
- Follow the Instructions given by the Application Installer to complete the installation.
Updating an Applicaton
- Navigate to the Application Installer in your cPanel.
- Any applications that have updates will have a box with red writing in it.
- Click the Upgrade to X.X.X button to update that specific application.
- Follow the instructions given by the Application Installer to complete* the upgrade.
* If your application uses additional plug-ins or modules, you may need to update them manually from within the application's administration panel.
